Covered Aluminum Conductor

APPLICATIONS 
Covered Aluminum Conductors was used primarily for, but not limited to, overhead (aerial) secondary distribution lines rated for 75℃ or 90℃ normal service temperature,95℃ or 130℃ emergency overload, 150℃ or 250℃ short circuit. Installed on insulators, otherwise treated as a bare conductor.
CONSTRUCTION 
Aluminum 1350, ACSR, Aluminum Alloy 6201 conductors, concentrically stranded. Covered with polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE).

• ANSI/ICEA S-70-547Weather-Resistant Polyethylene Covered Conductors.
• ASTM B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1350-H19 for Electrical Purposes .
• ASTM B-231 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded (AAC).
• ASTM B-232 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded, Coated Steel Reinforced (ACSR).
• B-399 Concentric-Lay-Stranded 6201-T81 Aluminum Alloy Conductors (AAAC).
