ACSR-Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced



ACSR Introduction is a kind of concentric-lay-stranded conductors made from round aluminium 1350-H19 (extra hard) wires and round coated steel core wires.

The core can be single wire or stranded depending on the required size. Steel core is available in Class A B or C galvanization for corrosion protection and different tensile requirements.

Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the completed conductor with grease.

ACSR Application ACSR is available in a range of steel strengths varying from 6% up to 40% mainly for power transmission and distribution line.

The higher strength ACSR conductors are used for river crossings overhead earth wiresand installations involving extra long spans. Against any given resistance

of conductorACSR conductor may be manufactured to have different tensile strengths as per requirement.
