Multiplexed Cables for Multiplex Aerial Installation (0.6/1kV) Insulated Neutral Conductor

    Cables for insulated aerial network

Multiplexed cables for aerial installation are used in low-voltage electrical distribution networks (0.6/1kV) to transmit electricity in urban, rural and industrial areas. These cables are made up of a set of insulated conductors, which may include an insulated neutral conductor, depending on the configuration of the electrical network.

The insulated neutral conductor is one of the main components of multiplexed cables for aerial installation. It is responsible for providing the return of the electrical current, balancing the electrical load on the other conductors and guaranteeing the safety and efficiency of the system.

Applications

MULTIPLEX CABLES are used in power supply and/or distribution circuits at voltages of
0.6/1kV, in aerial installations fixed to poles or façades.

Construction

1.Phase conductor: Bare electrolytic copper, soft temper, stranded with compact circular section class 2, insulated in thermosetting compound (XLPE) 90ºC; or thermoplastic (PE) 70ºC.

2. Neutral support conductor: Electrolytic copper, hard temper, solid section class 1A or stranded with circular section class 2A insulated in thermosetting compound (XLPE) 90°C or thermoplastic compound (PE) 70ºC.

MULTIPLEX CABLES are supplied in black and identified by the numerical marking of the phases.

Specifications

NBR 8182 – Self-supporting multiplexed power cables with extruded thermoplastic polyethylene (PE) or thermosetting polyethylene (XLPE) insulation for voltages up to 0.6/1kV.
